Turtles are fascinating animals with amazing abilities and specific characteristics. Did you know that they can see incredibly well and much more differentiated in comparison to humans? That's because they have four different color receptors and can partially perceive infrared and ultraviolet light. Moreover sea turtles do not just lay their eggs on a land somewhere but they make a long journey back to the exact beach where they themselves were born, even thousands of miles away. And they are getting really old: turtles are between 40 and 100 years old. The oldest known copy, Adwaita from India, is said to have brought it to about 255 years.

The clothing is part of the Stanley&Stella collection and was produced in eco-friendly factories. The energy used by the factories comes from renewable sources. The cotton is 100 % organic and was manufactured under fair conditions. The farmers don't only grow cotton but also food plants. So they do not only depend on the cotton market.
The clothes are shipped by land or sea. Apart from the ecological quality, Stanley&Stella's factories were also certified by the Fair Wear Foundation. The farmers carry a fair wage and receive premiums.
